Hello, I’m Ashley. Founder of Ashkitty Fitness and Thriving Beyond PCOS!
Welcome! I’m so excited to share my journey with you and the inspiration behind creating Thriving Beyond PCOS.
This program is more than just a guide—it’s a community and a resource I wish I’d had when I first started my path to healing.
I hope that hearing my story helps you feel understood, empowered, and ready to take the next step toward a healthier, more vibrant life.
I grew up in a fitness-oriented family, with my dad as a bodybuilder and my mom a cycling instructor, so working out wasn’t unfamiliar territory. But, during a five-year relationship where I drifted away from this lifestyle, I was diagnosed with PCOS. This experience quickly showed me the enormous gap in resources and reliable support for managing this condition. Each option I found seemed to add more frustration than real solutions.
Where my journey began…
Determined to find a holistic approach to managing my PCOS, I devoted myself to exploring natural methods. This is where my career in health and fitness coaching began. With a personal drive to improve both my mental and physical well-being and to find answers where none seemed available. Not only did I find strategies that made a real difference, but I also discovered what felt like my true purpose.
Through this journey, I became deeply passionate about helping others navigate their own health challenges and create meaningful, lasting change. As I began working with clients, I noticed many of them were struggling with similar health challenges. Drawing on the knowledge and techniques I had used in my own journey, I customized their plans and saw their health and lives entirely transform.
Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is one of the most common hormonal disorders affecting women of reproductive age, impacting an estimated 5% to 10% of women globally. In the United States, approximately 6% to 12% of women have PCOS, although many cases remain undiagnosed due to the variability of symptoms and challenges in diagnosis.
This condition is a leading cause of infertility, as it disrupts ovulation, with studies showing that PCOS is responsible for about 80% of anovulatory infertility cases.
PCOS is not just a reproductive health issue; it’s associated with a higher risk of developing type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, and certain cancers, particularly endometrial cancer. This increased risk results partly from insulin resistance, a common issue in PCOS, which can lead to obesity and metabolic complications.
Why I was inspired to create the program…
Witnessing the positive changes not only in my own life but in the lives of others inspired me to create Thriving Beyond PCOS. I created this program to offer women the tools, insights, and support I wish I’d had at the start of my journey. Thriving Beyond PCOS takes a holistic approach, focusing on lifestyle adjustments, nutrition, and the right supplements to empower women to reclaim control over their health.
Just as importantly, I designed this program to build a strong, supportive community where women can come together, share their journeys, and thrive as a collective. I believe deeply in the power of connection and am dedicated to creating a network of women who inspire, uplift, and grow alongside one another, transforming challenges into shared strength and unity.
If this resonates with you, and you’re ready to embark on your own journey of healing and empowerment, I invite you to learn more about Thriving Beyond PCOS and join our community of women transforming their lives.
